The monastery is located on the left side of the road leading from Akori to Kachakuti, in a wooded area. The hall-type church has doorways on the west and the south. The latter is provided with a largeporch. A window adorned with a tri-fold rectangular frame pierces the centre of the east façade. The extension to the north wall of the hall has a door. The gable roof is surrounded with a cornice of simple profile. The church was covered with hewn tiles.

Judging by its architectural features, the church must be dated to the 13th century.
