Erected on the right side of the Chorokhi Gorge, in the village of Iokushlu, this kuppelhalletype church of the transitional period, is mostly ruined. Only the north walls and the north-west corner have survived.

Regrettably, the church fell prey to the construction of a road. The north wall has three arches. Two of them, which are relatively smaller, are located westwards, while the third bigger one stands eastwards in the area which formed part of the underdome bay.

The church is built of brownish and grey stone arranged in horizontal courses. Structural parts are made of neatly hewn basalt stone.
