A small hall-type church of Khakhuli stands five metres south-east of the Khakhuli Monastery church. It is built of neatly cut basalt stone arranged in picturesque courses.
The church is a simple ‘hall’with a single-window apse on the east to which a rectangular open portico was added. Of the portico only pylons attached to the wall survive. The west door tympanum stone features the Flourishing Cross. The east façade contains triangular niches terminating in zigzag conches, and the window is furnished with an originally patterned double frame.
