A church commonly known as Vashlobi lies in the gardens of the village of Ovindus, on the left bank of the River Mtkvari. The hall of the church has a chapel openning with a double arch which, through narrow steps, leads to a central hall as well as to a gallery on the top of the narthex in the north. The masonry of the church wall is bulit of large, dark red stone arranged in horizontal courses. The projecting apse of the hallis pentagonal. The roof survives only on the level of the chapel and the lower level of the narthex.
