Near to the south of the church can be found a small, 11th century hall church of King Gurgen. The architrave above the north door is adorned with semi-circular twisted ornaments with zoomorphic images and a construction inscription in the middle. The frame of the east window is also richly decorated with zoomorphic images. Regrettably, some fragments are missing.
The church preserves fragments of wall paintings.
The building was restored in the 19th century century.
