Location: Georgia, the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia, Ochamchire municipality, village of Pokveshi.
Date of built: Middle Ages.
Architectural description: In the village of Pokveshi, there was a fortress built on the high mountain , which is called “the Bitchikva” by the population. At present the monument is ruined. Only one wall is preserved, which’s height is 3 meters. The building must have been two-storied.
Current condition: The territory is currently occupied by Russia, because of which it is impossible to study the current condition and to conduct the suitable works. Fortress walls are in a heavy physical condition and need an urgent conservation.
