Location: Georgia, the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia, Ochamchire municipality, village of Beslakhuba.
Date of built: Middle Ages.
Architectural description: The church is a hall type with semicircular apse. It was built with cobblestone. The cornice is decorated with semicircular cogwheel. It is roofed with tile. The church is plastered white. There is a relief cross on the western façade, with Georgian (Mkhedruli) inscription: ” Church was renewed with the order and grace of the head of the Abkhazian ruler Mikheil George’s Sharvashidze and his wife Alexsan Dadiani’s daughter”.
Current condition: The territory is currently occupied by Russia, because of which it is impossible to study the current condition and to conduct the suitable works. Church walls are in a heavy physical condition and need an urgent conservation.
