Standing in the centre of the village, thissingle-nave  church is surrounded by countryhouses and landholdings. It is bulit of reddish and grey basalt. The facing masonry is of smoothly finished stone arranged in even lines. The facades contain stones carved with Bolnian crosses. There are lapidary inscriptions in asomtavruli (majuscule) script above and below the window of the east facade.

The church has a door with a tympanum on the west. The east wall has a mihrab. The apse window is flanked with rectangular niches. The surviving impost of the arch is of simple geometrical shape. The roof has collapsed.

A large stone of the tympanum now lies in the yard of the neighbouring house.
