A hall-type church at Berki with an annexe to the east was built in the first half of the 10th century. Characterised by Javakh-type masonry, it is built of grey basalt highlighted with red stones, e.g. ahead stone with Bolnian cross above the west window, the second row of the double-stepped socle and rows below the conch.

The vault of the church has collapsed, while the south and north doors, as wellas the frames of the apse windows and the middle section of the apse are badly damaged. Of the south annexe only apse ruins survive.
