According Kartlis Tskovreba (The Life of Georgia, an old Georgian chronicle), a church in Erusheti was constructed for King Mirian by builders dispatched by Constantine. The church is now completely ruined; only a large and a wide sanctuary apse projection can be observed above the ground level. Several stones lying on the church grounds must be capital stones.

The church plan repeats the form of early Byzantine basilicas.
