Date of built: 19th century.
Architectural description: Cruciform domed church of St. George is located in the village Tchuburkhinji, Gali district. Initial structure is dated to the 11th c., while in the second half of the 19th c., local congregation had initiated substantial transformation of the church and its consecration to the Prophet Elijah. However, the local community had preserved the old tradition and up to now, the church is referred to as the church of St. George. In the exterior of the church, old, 11th c. layer is well discernible.
Current condition: The territory is currently occupied by Russia, because of which it is impossible to study the current condition and to conduct the suitable works.
