Date of built: 8th-9th centuries.
Architectural description: The Georgian Christian church built in the early Middle Ages is known as Ailaga-Abiku. This church is located ten km. away from Gudauta – towards the Black Sea. It is a hall building. The walls were preserved almost entirely with five-faceted apse. Inside the Basilica there is a fragment of a fresco. At the southern entrance, on the wall the image of a cross is cut out.
On the southern side of the church, an elongated hall has been added. In the eastern part of the Basilica there is a semicircular-shaped alter. The original name of the Basilica is still unknown.
Current condition: The territory is currently occupied by Russia, because of which it is impossible to study the current condition and to conduct the suitable works.
